ポストハードコアとエモの融合が鮮烈な傑作。
変拍子を織り交ぜた複雑なリズム展開と、クリーンなメロディラインにスクリームが絡むダイナミックなボーカル。パンクの疾走感を基調にしつつ、ポストロック的な緊張感を加え、都市の孤独や崩壊を歌詞で描く点がエモーショナルだ。
他作品との違いは、初期の『Waiting』より洗練され、メジャーデビュー作『War All the Time』への橋渡し役。ストレートなパンク表現を避け、緩急のメリハリでカタルシスを生むのが独自性。
エモ/スクリーモシーンでは2000年代初頭のブレイクを象徴する一枚。感情の爆発をメインストリームに押し上げた評価が高い。
